The Trail End State Historic Site is located in a residential
neighborhood in the City of Sheridan, county seat of Sheridan County in northern
Wyoming. Overlooking both Kendrick Park and Sheridan Junior High School, the
mansion can be easily reached by foot, bicycle or automobile.
Trail End is open daily from March 1 through December 14 (hours vary as
stated below). By legislative mandate, fees are kept very low, thus making Trail End an
excellent weekday, weekend or after-school adventure for families of all sizes.
Trail End offers
self-guided tours
of the mansion and grounds for individuals and
small groups. Guided tours and bus tours are available by appointment only. Anyone
wishing to schedule a guided tour or a bus tour is asked to contact the museum by
phone or mail at least two weeks in advance. Scheduling a group or bus tour
by email is not encouraged at this time, although initial queries can be made via
email.
