In partnership with the Trail End Guilds and the Civic Theater Guild, Trail End is adding something new for the holidays!
"Christmas Eve With the Kendricks" is an evening event during which guests will tour the Kendrick Mansion by electric candlelight and watch live actors perform a play that unfolds room by room.
On the nights of December 20 and 21, visitors will step back in time to 1913 to see what the Kendrick family and their staff members might have been doing on their first Christmas Eve spent in the newly finished home. The characters and script are based on real people - including family members and staff - and real events, from a Christmas Eve dance to a Christmas Day at the bowling alley!
Unlike our lively and loud Holiday Open House, the Christmas Eve tours are intimate gatherings, with only ten people in a group. Starting at 5:00, groups will be lead through the house every twenty minutes, stopping in six rooms to see how the holiday story unfolds.
NOTE: This tour is recommended for adults and children 8 years of age or older. Because participants will be required to climb up and down the stairs, strollers and walkers will not be allowed.
Tickets are $10 per person and can be purchased at the museum (cash, check or credit card) or over the phone ($2.00 transaction fee will apply). Only ten tickets per tour time are available. NO REFUNDS.
